agent-fecfile is a Claude Code plugin that enables AI agents to fetch, parse, and analyze Federal Election Commission (FEC) campaign finance filings directly within agent sessions. The skill supports major form types (F1, F2, F3, F99) and includes detailed field mappings for contributions, disbursements, and schedules, helping agents accurately interpret campaign finance data. Parsing and filtering happen outside the model context, allowing agents to programmatically reduce large filings before analysis, which saves tokens and enables efficient queries against filings of any size. Operations teams and compliance analysts use this to extract structured data from FEC filings without manual effort. The plugin works in Claude Desktop's Code tab or via Claude Code CLI, with optional FEC API integration for searching committees and filings by name.

Install via Claude plugin marketplace with `claude plugin install fecfile@agent-fecfile`. For CLI-based runtimes like Codex, clone the repository and configure the Agent Skill and MCP server. Optionally set up FEC API key in your system keyring for committee and filing search. Then ask your agent to analyze any FEC filing by ID or search for filings by committee name.
