Session browser + Agents Analytics + Limits tracker for Codex CLI, Claude Code, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Factory Droid & GitHub Copilot CLI. Search ALL past sessions, filter by folder·repo, resume instantly, see rate limits in real-time. Native macOS app.
git clone https://github.com/jazzyalex/agent-sessions.gitAgent Sessions is a local-first macOS application that centralizes session management for multiple AI coding agents including Codex, Claude, Cursor, OpenCode, Hermes, OpenClaw, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, and Pi. It lets you search through all past sessions, filter by folder and repository, inspect transcripts, browse generated images, and instantly resume work from the command line. The app includes Agent Cockpit for monitoring active iTerm2 sessions in real-time, a Limits Widget for tracking Codex and Claude usage with run-out predictions, and local-only indexing designed to handle large session histories. All data stays on your Mac with no telemetry or remote uploads.
[{"step":"Install the native macOS app and authenticate with your preferred CLI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).","tip":"Ensure all CLI tools are configured with API keys in your environment variables for seamless integration."},{"step":"Use the session browser to filter past sessions by folder/repo path and date range. Example: `copilot sessions --repo acme-web-app --since 2024-05-01`.","tip":"Combine filters for precise results (e.g., `--repo data-pipeline --status completed`)."},{"step":"Check real-time rate limits before resuming sessions. Run `copilot limits --provider github` to view consumption.","tip":"Set up rate limit alerts in the app settings to avoid unexpected interruptions during critical sessions."},{"step":"Resume the most relevant session with `copilot session resume --id [SESSION_ID]`.","tip":"Use the session context to pick up where you left off without losing progress."},{"step":"Monitor session analytics to identify patterns (e.g., frequent errors, long durations) and optimize future workflows.","tip":"Export session data to CSV for deeper analysis in tools like Excel or Google Sheets."}]

Search all past [SESSION_TYPE] sessions (e.g., GitHub Copilot CLI, Claude Code, Codex CLI) filtered by [FOLDER/REPO PATH] and [DATE RANGE]. Resume the most relevant session instantly. Show real-time rate limit status for [API_PROVIDER] (e.g., GitHub, Anthropic, OpenAI). If limits are near exhaustion, suggest immediate mitigation steps like switching to a different API key or reducing concurrent requests.
## Session Analysis Report: GitHub Copilot CLI (2024-05-15 to 2024-05-21) **Session Overview:** - Total sessions found: 47 - Active sessions: 12 - Avg session duration: 18.2 minutes - Top 3 repos by session count: 1. `acme-web-app` (14 sessions, 2.1 hours total) 2. `data-pipeline` (8 sessions, 1.4 hours total) 3. `auth-service` (6 sessions, 1.1 hours total) **Rate Limit Status (GitHub API):** - Primary key: 82% consumed (4,100/5,000 requests remaining) - Secondary key: 15% consumed (4,250/5,000 requests remaining) - **Warning:** Primary key will exhaust in ~1.5 hours at current usage. Recommend: 1. Switch to secondary key immediately 2. Pause non-critical sessions until tomorrow 3. Review `acme-web-app` sessions for optimization opportunities **Resume Recommendations:** - **Session #42** (`acme-web-app`, 2024-05-20 14:37:12): - Context: Debugged OAuth flow for `/api/v2/auth` endpoint - Last message: "The refresh token isn't being stored in the cookie..." - **Action:** Resume to continue debugging the session where it left off. - **Session #33** (`data-pipeline`, 2024-05-19 09:15:44): - Context: Optimized ETL job for customer analytics - Last message: "Added parallel processing for the customer dimension table..." - **Action:** Review progress on performance improvements. **Next Steps:** 1. Run `copilot session resume --id 42` to continue debugging 2. Monitor rate limits via `copilot limits --provider github` 3. Schedule a 30-minute review of `acme-web-app` sessions for optimization opportunities
