Alexa HA was a free, open-source Alexa Skill that connected Amazon Echo devices to OpenHAB home automation systems. It allowed users to control lights, dimmers, thermostats, locks, shutters, and other smart home devices through voice commands. The skill automatically generated Alexa utterances based on configured devices and rooms, and supported custom server-side rules, scene modes, and device state queries. Deployment options included semi-direct connections, proxied webserver setups, or AWS Lambda microservices. The project is no longer maintained; OpenHAB now provides an official Alexa Skill for this integration.
