Ariadne is a GitHub Actions-based tool that lets you start a server on a free runner (Ubuntu, macOS, or Windows) and expose it through your choice of tunnel—Cloudflare, localhost.run, ngrok, Tailscale, Tor, or Tunnelmole—by simply checking boxes in a GitHub issue. A bot replies to the issue with the shareable URL or SSH command, requiring no local setup or CLI work. Sessions are ephemeral, capped at 80 minutes, and you can swap OS or tunnel options by toggling checkboxes without opening a new issue. Ariadne is ideal for developers, open-source maintainers, and teams who want to share live app demos or prototypes instantly using GitHub's free 2,000 Actions minutes. Bring your own app by editing the workflow to start any Docker, Python, Go, or other service on port 8080 before the tunnel step.
How to Use
Fork the repository, enable GitHub Actions and Issues in your repo settings, then create a 'Tunnel Sandbox' issue using the provided template. Select your OS (Ubuntu, macOS, or Windows), choose a tunnel, and check ON—the Actions bot replies with your access link. For tunnels requiring authentication (ngrok, Tailscale), add the relevant token as an Actions secret before starting.
