About This Skill
Assistant is a personal AI workspace that enables multiple CLI agents (Claude Code, Codex, Pi) to collaborate on shared panels for notes, lists, and diff reviews. The system features a plugin architecture allowing custom workflows and skills that can be exported for use with compatible agents. Users interact through text chat and voice input/output, with persistent session management via JSONL event logs. Built-in plugins handle common productivity tasks, while custom plugins extend functionality for specific workflows. The platform supports scheduled sessions for cron-driven runs and tool integration via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
How to Use
Clone the repository, run `npm install` and `npm run build`, then start the server with `npm run start -w @assistant/agent-server` and open http://localhost:3000. To use plugins as skills with CLI agents, build them with `npm run build:plugins -- --skills-dir /path/to/skills` and copy to your agent's skills directory (~/.claude/skills/, ~/.pi/skills/, or ~/.codex/skills/).
