The platform enables users to search by software name or keywords, filter results by predefined tags, and directly compare two tools side-by-side. Project managers can maintain and update the software database through CSV imports using the built-in data import system. Developers can extend functionality by adding new database properties, managing synonyms for improved search accuracy, and deploying the application on Apache with PostgreSQL backend.
Upload updated CSV files (import-softwares.csv, import-tags.csv, import-versus.csv) to App/Resources/data, then run `bin/console import:database`. Mark rows with 'ok' in the first column to publish data. Add software logos to web/assets/img/logo with slugged naming. Manage search keywords and synonyms via app/config/awesomeSearch.yml.
