Fragments Vault captures and organizes quotes, phrases, and ideas from reading materials. It benefits operations teams by centralizing knowledge for quick reference. The skill integrates with Claude to store and retrieve fragments, enhancing workflows like research, content creation, and knowledge management.
git clone https://github.com/serudda/fragments-vault.gitFragments Vault is a plain-text knowledge management system designed for developers and knowledge workers who want to capture and organize quotes, phrases, and ideas directly from the terminal. It eliminates context-switching by keeping your vault where you code, using a simple inbox-based workflow: capture fragments quickly, then organize them into categories (career, building, life, or custom topics) with structured metadata including author, source, tags, and reasoning. The system uses Markdown and Git for full ownership and portability, preventing knowledge hoarding by requiring you to articulate why each fragment matters. Available skills include /save-fragment for quick inbox capture, /organize-fragments to categorize batches of fragments, and /browse-fragments to search and retrieve related ideas across your vault using a cross-category tag system.
Invoke the skill by telling Claude to save a fragment or using the /save-fragment command. Answer questions about the author, source, tags, and why the fragment matters—Claude will suggest tags from the existing registry. Fragments land in inbox.md first, then use /organize-fragments to move them into category files like career.md or life.md. Browse and search fragments anytime with /browse-fragments.
