aissist

Aissist is a CLI-based personal assistant that helps you connect your past, present, and future through human-readable Markdown files stored locally on your machine. It tracks goals with AI-generated codenames and deadlines, logs daily activities and reflections, and organizes information by context (work, fitness, diet, etc.). The tool integrates with Claude Code to provide AI-powered semantic search across your history, generate action proposals based on your goals, and offer guided reflection prompts. All data is stored in version-control-friendly Markdown format, supporting both global (~/.aissist/) and project-specific (./.aissist/) storage modes. Aissist is designed for individuals and operations teams who need to maintain searchable context across projects while keeping sensitive information local and private.

Install globally with `npm install -g aissist`, then run `aissist init` to create local storage. Log in to Claude with `claude login` to enable AI features. Start tracking goals with `aissist goal add`, log activities with `aissist history log`, and get AI insights with `aissist recall` or `aissist propose`.
